Курс за свързващите думи - Подготовка за TOEIC®

Свързващите думи, известни още като «linking words» или «connectors», служат за свързване на идеи и правят текста или речта по-плавна. В този курс ще разгледаме основните типове свързващи думи, разпределени по категории.

1. Свързващи думи за добавяне или изброяване на идеи

Тези думи позволяват въвеждането на нова информация, допълването на идея или структуриране на точки в логичен ред (хронологично или по важност).

second / secondly	второ / на второ място	Second, we will examine the results of the survey.
third / thirdly	трето / на трето място	Third, we’ll compare these results to last year’s data.
next	следващо / после	Next, we need to analyze the data in more detail.
then	тогава / после	Then, we’ll move on to the final discussion.
finally	накрая / в заключение	Finally, we’ll summarize our conclusions.
lastly	накрая / в крайна сметка	Lastly, we should thank everyone for their contributions.
last but not least	последно, но не по значение	Last but not least, let’s address the financial aspect.

Нюанси / Изключения

«And» е най-базовата свързваща дума. Тя просто свързва две елемента или идеи.
«Beside(s)» може да означава „до" като Präposition (например: “The phone is beside the lamp."), но като connector, «besides» означава „освен това / между другото“.
Формите first/firstly, second/secondly и т.н. са взаимозаменяеми, но формата с «-ly» се счита за по-официална.

2. Свързващи думи за изразяване на причина и последствие

Те посочват защо се случва нещо (причина) и какъв е резултатът (последствие).

Изразяване на последствие

Нюанси / Изключения

«So» е много често срещана в разговорния език.
«Therefore», «thus», «consequently» и «hence» обикновено се използват в по-официален или писмен стил.
«Due to» и «owing to» се поставят пред Nomen или Gerund.
- The cancellation of the event was due to bad weather.
- Owing to arriving late, he missed the beginning of the movie.

3. Свързващи думи за изразяване на условие

Нюанси / Изключения

«Unless» означава „освен ако“, т.е. изречението съдържа имплицитно отрицание.
- „I won't go unless...“ = „Няма да отида, освен ако...“
«Provided (that)» и «providing (that)» често са взаимозаменяеми, но «provided that» се използва по-често в официални контексти.

4. Свързващи думи за изразяване на противопоставяне или отстъпка

Изразяване на отстъпка

Нюанси / Изключения

«But» е най-простата и най-често използваната дума за пряко противопоставяне.
«Though» може да бъде поставена в края на изречението в по-неофициален стил.
- I’m not sure, though.
«Despite» и «in spite of» се следват от Nomen или Gerund.
- Despite the rain, they continued playing.
- In spite of having no experience, he got the job.

5. Свързващи думи за изразяване на цел

Нюанси / Изключения

«To» е най-простата форма за изразяване на цел, обикновено следвана от глагол в Infinitive.
«So that» и «in order that» често въвеждат изречение, което съдържа подлог и глагол.
- I explained it clearly so that everyone could understand.

6. Свързващи думи за даване на примери или илюстриране

Нюанси / Изключения

«Such as» и «like» обикновено се следват от конкретни примери.
«e.g.» е латинска абревиатура, използва се най-вече в официален или академичен контекст, често в скоби.
«For example» и «for instance» са взаимозаменяеми за въвеждане на пример.

7. Свързващи думи за обобщение или заключение

Нюанси / Изключения

«In conclusion» и «to conclude» се използват в по-официален стил.
«All in all» и «in short» са по-неофициални и често се използват в разговорна реч.

Заключение

Свързващите думи са основни за структурирането на фрази на английски език. Те правят речта по-ясна, по-плавна и по-логична. В TOEIC®, доброто владеене на свързващите думи е от съществено значение, особено в секция Reading, където помагат да се разберат логическите връзки между идеите, както и в секция Listening, където съдействат за проследяване на разговора или речта.
