TOEIC® Hazırlık için Negation (Olumsuzluk) Dersi
İngilizcede olumsuzluk yalnızca "not" kelimesinden çok daha fazlasını içerir. Dil, olumsuz cümleler kurmak için çeşitli yollar sunar; böylece ince anlamlar ifade edebilir veya belli noktaları vurgulayabilirsiniz. Bu derste, hardly, neither, nowhere, no-one gibi birçok olumsuz zarf ve ifadeyi inceleyeceğiz.
Unutmayın, Fransızcada çift olumsuzluk bazen doğrudur (örneğin: « Je ne dis rien »), ancak İngilizcede bu dilbilgisi hatasıdır. Bir fikri olumsuzlamak için tek bir olumsuzluk yeterlidir. Örneğin, "I don't know nothing" yanlıştır, çünkü çift olumsuzluk cümleyi anlamsız hale getirir. Doğru kullanımlar ise "I don't know anything" veya "I know nothing" şeklindedir.
1. Hardly (neredeyse hiç, nadiren)
