在英语中，否定句远不止一个简单的 "not"。英语提供了多种构建否定句的方式，可以表达细腻的语义差别，或强调某些方面。本课程将带你学习多种否定副词和表达方式，如 hardly、neither、nowhere、no-one 等等。
需要注意的是，与法语中有时可以使用双重否定（例如："Je ne dis rien"），在英语中这却是语法错误。表达否定意思时，只需用一次否定即可。因此，"I don't know nothing" 是错误的，因为双重否定会让句子表达混乱。正确的表达应为 "I don't know anything" 或 "I know nothing"。
1. Hardly（几乎不，罕见）

❌ She could hardly not hear the speaker over the noise.
✅ She could hardly hear the speaker over the noise.

2. Neither（两者都不，二者没有）

3. Nowhere（无处，哪儿都不）

✅ There is nowhere better to relax than the beach.
(没有比海滩更适合放松的地方了。) -
❌ We didn’t find her nowhere.
✅ We searched everywhere, but we found her nowhere.
(我们到处找了，但哪儿都没找到她。)
4. No-one 和 Nothing（无人，什么都没有）

❌ No-one doesn’t enjoy working under such pressure.
✅ No-one enjoys working under such pressure.
(没有人喜欢在如此大的压力下工作。) -
❌ There isn’t nothing interesting on TV tonight.
✅ There’s nothing interesting on TV tonight.
(今晚电视上没有什么有趣的节目。)
5. Seldom, Barely 和 Rarely（很少，几乎不）

❌ They don’t seldom go out during the week.
✅ They seldom go out during the week.
(他们平时很少在工作日外出。) -
❌ I didn’t barely catch the last train home.
✅ I barely caught the last train home.
(我几乎赶不上最后一班回家的火车。) -
❌ She doesn’t rarely forget her appointments.
✅ She rarely forgets her appointments.
(她很少忘记自己的约会。)
6. Few 和 Little（极少）

❌ Not few people came to the event.
✅ Few people came to the event.
(很少有人参加了这个活动。) -
❌ There isn’t little time left to complete the project.
✅ There is little time left to complete the project.
(完成项目只剩下很少的时间了。)
7. Unless（除非）
- ❌ I won’t go to the party unless you don’t come with me
✅ I won’t go to the party unless you come with me.
(除非你和我一起去，我才会参加聚会。)
结论
在英语中，表达否定意思时只需一次否定。双重否定被视为语法错误。这些细节尤为重要，因为在**TOEIC®**考试的语法和阅读理解部分经常出现此类考点。
