英语中不同的过去时形式

在英语中，有两种主要的过去时形式：

• Past Simple：Last year, I went to China
• Past Continuous：I was writing when my phone rang

⚠️ 实际上，还有 present perfect 和 past perfect 这两种时态也可以表示过去，但我们有专门的课程讲解这两种时态

Prétérit 和 past simple 是同一个时态，只是表达方式不同而已。

Prétérit progressif、prétérit continu、past continuous、prétérit progressif 这些说法也是指同一种时态。

使用场景

这两种时态用于不同的语境。

Past Simple 用于表达：

• 一个已经彻底结束的动作：Last year, I went to China
• 过去发生的一系列动作：He entered the room, turned on the light, and sat down.
• 过去的习惯：When I was a child, I played outside every day.
• 过去的事实或普遍真理：In the 19th century, people traveled by horse and carriage.

Past Continuous 用于表达：

• 过去某一时刻正在进行的动作：I was reading a book at 8 PM last night.
• 被其他动作打断的正在进行的动作：I was cooking when the phone rang.
• 过去同时发生的两个动作：While I was studying, my brother was playing video games.
• 故事背景或环境的描述：The sun was setting, and the birds were singing.

TOEIC®练习题

选择正确的时态形式：

1. While I __ (to watch) TV, my brother __ (to play) outside.
2. Last year, we __ (to visit) Paris and __ (to see) the Eiffel Tower.
3. She __ (to cook) dinner when the phone __ (to ring).
4. When I was a child, I __ (to go) to the park every weekend.
