Future perfect continuous v angličtine sa používa na opis činnosti, ktorá bude prebiehať určitú dobu a bude pokračovať až do konkrétneho okamihu v budúcnosti. Tento čas sa zameriava predovšetkým na kontinuitu a trvanie akcie.

Ako sa tvorí future perfect continuous?

Základná forma future perfect continuous je: will have been + verb−ing

Future perfect continuous pri opisovaní akcií začatých pred konkrétnym momentom v budúcnosti, ktoré stále prebiehajú

Toto použitie future perfect continuous je pravdepodobne najčastejšie. S týmto časom zdôrazňujeme, že činnosť už začne pred určitým bodom v budúcnosti a bude stále prebiehať v danom okamihu alebo až do tohto momentu.

By the time he retires, he will have been working in the same company for forty years.

Future perfect continuous na zdôraznenie trvania alebo progresu činnosti až do určitého okamihu

Future perfect continuous sa často používa na zdôraznenie celkového trvania akcie až do určitého momentu v budúcnosti. Odpovedá na otázky ako: „Ako dlho?" alebo „Odkedy?“.

In October, I will have been living in this city for five years.
(V októbri bude päť rokov, čo žijem v tomto meste.)
By next summer, we will have been practicing for the marathon for six months.
(Do budúceho leta sa budeme na maratón pripravovať už šesť mesiacov.)
When she arrives, she will have been waiting for her friend for over an hour.
(Keď príde, bude čakať na svoju kamarátku už viac než hodinu.)

Future perfect continuous na porovnanie dvoch časových bodov v budúcnosti

Future perfect continuous umožňuje porovnávať začiatok činnosti (často v minulosti alebo prítomnosti) s jej budúcim stavom, pričom zdôrazňuje trvanie medzi týmito dvoma bodmi.

By the time you finish your degree, you will have been studying at university for six years.
(Keď dokončíš štúdium, budeš na univerzite študovať už šesť rokov.)
By 3 p.m. tomorrow, I will have been waiting for your call for an hour.
(Zajtra o 15:00 budem na tvoj hovor čakať už hodinu.)
By the time we leave for vacation, we will have been working non-stop for two months.

Typické časové značky pre future perfect continuous

Niektoré časové vyjadrenia sa veľmi často spájajú s Future Perfect Continuous:

By + konkrétny moment: By next year, by 2025, by next week, by the time we arrive, atď.
- By next year, I will have been studying English for five years.
  (Do budúceho roka bude päť rokov, čo študujem angličtinu.)
- By 2025, she will have been running her business for a decade.
  (V roku 2025 bude desať rokov, čo vedie svoju firmu.)
For + trvanie: For an hour, for three years, for a long time, atď.
- For a long time, they will have been discussing this topic without reaching any conclusion.
  (Dlhý čas budú o tejto téme diskutovať bez toho, aby dospeli k záveru.)
By the time + veta: By the time she leaves, by the time you finish, atď.

Kedy nepoužívať Future Perfect Continuous?

Aj keď je future perfect continuous užitočný na vyjadrenie trvania budúcej akcie, existujú prípady, kedy ho nemožno použiť:

So statickými slovesami (alebo slovesami stavu)

Niektoré slovesá opisujúce stav, emóciu alebo vnímanie (to know, to believe, to own, atď.) sa nepoužívajú v kontinuálnej forme. V týchto prípadoch sa používa future perfect simple.

By next year, I will have known her for a decade.
(Správne - „to know“ je sloveso stavu.)
By next year, I will have been knowing her for a decade.
(Nesprávne - „to know“ sa nepoužíva v continuous.)

Ak chceš zdôrazniť, že akcia bude dokončená, a nie jej trvanie, vhodnejší je future perfect simple.

By 5 p.m., I will have finished writing my report.
(O 17:00 budem mať správu napísanú.)
By 5 p.m., I will have been writing my report for five hours.
(O 17:00 budem svoju správu písať už päť hodín - dôraz je na času strávenom písaním, nie na dokončení.)

Future perfect simple vs. future perfect continuous - ktorý si vybrať?

Future perfect simple zdôrazňuje, že akcia bude dokončená, splnená, ukončená.

By 2025, I will have finished my training.
(V roku 2025 budem mať tréning ukončený - tu je dôraz na výsledok)

Future perfect continuous zdôrazňuje trvanie akcie alebo prebiehajúci proces až do daného budúceho momentu.

By 2025, I will have been training for four years.
(V roku 2025 budem trénovať už štyri roky.)

Future continuous vs. future perfect continuous - ktorý si vybrať?

Future continuous zvyčajne znamená, že akcia bude prebiehať v konkrétnom okamihu v budúcnosti, bez toho, aby sa zdôrazňovala celková dĺžka trvania.

At 8 p.m. tomorrow, I will be having dinner.
(Zajtra o 20:00 budem večerať.)

Future perfect continuous ukazuje, že akcia bude trvať určitý čas až do konkrétneho momentu v budúcnosti.

By 8 p.m. tomorrow, I will have been having dinner for an hour.
(Zajtra o 20:00 budem večerať už hodinu.)

Záver

Future perfect continuous sa používa na opis akcií, ktoré budú trvať až do konkrétneho okamihu v budúcnosti. Zdôrazňuje kontinuitu a trvanie činnosti.

Aj keď nie je veľmi častý, je veľmi užitočný na vyjadrenie myšlienky progresu alebo časového úseku. Navyše je celkom bežné, že sa vo TOEIC® otázkach objavuje forma future perfect continuous.
